The Mission StatementThe (GPF) supports community initiatives that benefit the people of St. Vincent and the in four primary areas: Basic Needs: clean water supplies, sustainable sanitation, and waste management systems; Education: primary and secondary education, youth health development and sports programs, and adult education;Economic Development: infrastructure and economic development initiatives that create self-sustaining economies; and Environmental Protection and Conservation: land, marine and cultural preservation projects and renewable energy efforts. With the assistance of community leaders in St. Vincent and the , the GPF identifies viable projects and then provides financial support through grants to locally based non-profit organizations.

THE SHALL PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT AS A MEANS HEALTHFUL RECREATION AND PHYSICAL FITNESS IN THE GREATER ISLAND COMMUNITY, SHALL COOPERATE WITH THE UNITED STATES AND OTHER ASSOCIATIONS IN THE PURSUIT THESE AIMS, SHALL GENERALLY ENCOURAGE THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT HEALTH, CHARACTER AND RESPONSIBLE CITIZENSHIP, SHALL ENCOURAGE BROAD-BASED COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION BY SUBSIDIZING LESSON FEES AND ESTABLISHING SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS FOR APPLICANTS UNABLE TO MEET COSTS, AND SHALL FOSTER LOCAL TOURNAMENTS AND COMPETITIONS WHERE THE BOARD DEEMS NECESSARY.
